Mill Creek -v- MillCreek

Ever wonder why you have seen "Mill Creek" spelled all sorts of ways? Is it Mill Creek, Millcreek or MillCreek? Let's try to settle this once and for all.

Back before there was a MC development, the Broadway Housing Coalition and Slavic Village spelled our neighborhood with two words:  Mill Creek. We know this from their marketing and promotion plans.

The builder of the development, Zaremba was where we first saw the name as one word: Millcreek. We also Zaremba documents with the spelling: MillCreek. (uppercase C)

Below are some examples of the two word spelling (Mill Creek) referring to the creek, valley, lane, falls, falls community, district and falls history center.

Here's where the confusion starts, with examples of the one word spellings (MillCreek and Millcreek) referring to the entrance sign, community trail and boulevard street signs. Presumably all by Zaremba.

As you can see, there are different spellings - thus, creating confusion. Thanks, Zaremba and the City of Cleveland. Or is it, ZarEmBa and Cleaveland? It probably doesn't matter, as long as we spell it "home."
